Eureka Springs (Arkansas) ... a treasure trove of Roadside Americana, featuring the giant Christ of the Ozarks statue, the impossibly peculiar Passion Play, and Dinosaur World USA.







The Passion Play really must be seen to be believed. It features a cast of hundreds, live animals, and at the end, the ascension of Christ into the heavens -- all acted out in a sort of exagerrated pantomime to the accompaniment of a pre-recorded audio track, in this gigantic outdoor amphitheatre.
