Hello. I am from Austin Texas, where George "wuss" Bush is currently residing as governor. I had long ago noticed the resemblance between lil' George and Alfred E., and wanted to tell you your lampoon was a perfect expression of the collective unconscious of the american people that cowers beneath the flabby white heels of the Bush clan. It is your job, nay, your duty as citizen, to erect billboards across this great country bearing your vision of wisdom and art. ask Ann Richards for help.

Greetings, Tom Tomorrow...
Must say I love your strip and only wished it appeared more often. I am able to catch it weekly in The Weekly Planet here in St. Petersburg, FL. I must ask that you make available your recent strip so accurately portraying the morph of "Dubya" into Alfred E. Neuman into a t-shirt as it is an excellent revealing of someone so blatantly stupid and mindless. Please keep up the strip, have fun, play safe. Thanks for the many laughs.

Dan,
The semi-morphed image of GW Bush and Alfred E. Newman in your recent strip was perfect, perfect, perfect! I hope they make it a poster...hey, *you* should make it a poster. Just great.

Thank god someone in the media has finally made the connection I made months ago !! George W. looks just like Alfred E. This is an insult to Alfred E. Keep up the good work.

Perfect! I tried to say the same thing but it took me 1,000 words; I guess the adage is right. Let me know what you think of this:

Hi, Mr. Perkins--
I suppose I should start off this email by saying that I normally enjoy your comic immensely. (I'd hate to write in *just* to complain!) But your recent strip comparing George W. Bush, Jr. to Alfred E. Neuman was simply below your usual standards. Instead of the finely tuned, smart satire you usually put out, this strip was a simple example of childish ad-hominem name-calling. I know you can do better when there are so many more-valid reasons to criticize Bush.
I do very much look forward to reading _This_Modern_World_ every week, and hope you'll take this as the constructive criticism (and praise) that it's intended as.

I know some of the Old Guard cartoonists like Paul Conrad think your panels are too verbose; they should be pleased with this one (Bush metamorphosing into Alfred E. Newman).
Your strip is always the first thing I turn to when I get the ICON (although, since Trixie's back you may be running a close second!).

I just saw your cartoon of George W. Bush morphing into Alfred E. Newman. I laughed so hard, I think I may have hurt myself! Great job!

Just writing to thank you for vastly increasing my enjoyment of GWBush commercials--every time I see him now, I see Alfred E.! This may be the most entertainingly subversive thing you've ever done. Keep up the good work-- Mike

Dear Tom Tomorrow:
Just have to send you a note of praise about the AE Newman - like portrayal of Junior Bush in your 2-16-2000 comic. It was murder...
